Our Plan

Together, we have spent years working to advance conservative principles and the Republican Party in Gwinnett. Our dedication to the party remains critical today as Barack Obama is inaugurated, Democrats control Congress, and two additional Democrats head to the state legislature from Gwinnett.

The current chairman of the Gwinnett GOP has announced that he will not seek re-election at the upcoming convention. In these challenging times, the new leadership of the Gwinnett GOP must unite the party membership and provide a foundation for success in future elections.

In our commitment to move Gwinnett Forward, we’ve designed a six point plan outlining our vision for the first year. The plan is designed to infuse energy and excitement into the Party while laying the groundwork for Republican victories across Gwinnett.

1. Work to increase grassroots participation
Promote active involvement with increased roles and responsibilities of party members, form working committees around necessary party functions, and equip members to be effective campaign volunteers.

2. Emphasize a party that will work together and grow
Unify the party through consensus building and outreach to Republicans.

3. Encourage meaningful debate within the party
Give a forum to those with conservative beliefs to facilitate the spread of the Republican message of personal responsibility, limited government, free enterprise, and the rule of law

4. Raise funds to support the party
Increase our financial resources and develop regular and sustainable income for party activities.

5. Build the party's on-line infrastructure
Improve the website, listserv, and other online resources to better serve current party members and encourage new members to become active.

6. Field and support Republican candidates
Recruit and assist Republican candidates across Gwinnett and Georgia who espouse Republican principles.
